One thing I highly recommend doing is hiring a bicycle in Luang Prabang. There are people selling them everywhere you turn and as it’s a quiet yet incredibly beautiful town, this is a perfect way to see the area.

Cycling along the Mekong River was exhilarating and we were able to visit numerous temples and Buddhist monasteries. What’s also great about this is that you can keep the bikes until that evening, so there’s a lot you can see in the day.
